🌾 The Clever Farmer – हिन्दी अनुवाद
यह एक चतुर किसान की कहानी है, जो पहाड़ी इलाके में रहता था जहाँ किसान सीढ़ीदार खेती (terrace farming) करते हैं।
एक बार एक किसान ने पहाड़ी के पास एक खेत खरीदा। उसने दो बैल भी खरीदे और खुशी-खुशी खेत जोतने लगा। अभी उसने आधा ही खेत जोता था कि एक लंबा आदमी आया और गुस्से में बोला,
“अरे, तुम वहाँ क्या कर रहे हो? मेरा घर इस पहाड़ी के नीचे है। तुम मेरे खेत में क्या कर रहे हो?”
किसान ने शांति से कहा,
“कृपया गुस्सा मत कीजिए। मैं इस खेत में बीज बोने के लिए जुताई कर रहा हूँ। जब फसल उगेगी, तो मैं हर साल आपके साथ फसल बाँटूँगा। एक साल आप जमीन के नीचे उगने वाली फसल ले लेना और अगले साल जमीन के ऊपर उगने वाली फसल ले लेना।”
लंबा आदमी खुश हो गया। उसे किसान की चालाक योजना का पता नहीं था।
🌾 पहला साल
पहले साल किसान ने गेहूँ बोया। जब फसल तैयार हुई, तो किसान ने ऊपर उगने वाला सारा गेहूँ अपने पास रख लिया और जड़ें (जो जमीन के नीचे थीं) उस लंबे आदमी को दे दीं।
लंबा आदमी बहुत गुस्सा हुआ। उसने कहा कि अगले साल वह जमीन के ऊपर उगने वाला हिस्सा लेगा। किसान मान गया।
🌰 दूसरा साल
अगले साल किसान ने मूंगफली बोई। जब फसल तैयार हुई, तो किसान ने जमीन के नीचे उगने वाली सारी मूंगफली अपने पास रख ली और लंबे आदमी को केवल पत्ते दे दिए, जो जमीन के ऊपर थे।
इस तरह किसान ने उस लंबे आदमी को फिर से बेवकूफ बना दिया।

👉 “चतुराई ही समझदारी नहीं होती।”
(यानी सिर्फ चालाक होना ही सही नहीं है, सच्ची समझदारी अलग होती है)
